Unconfirmed reports carried by Reuters say that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and Abdullah al-Senussi, both on the run from revolutionary forces, have asked the NTC to be handed directly to the International Criminal Court in the Hague if they surrender.
Rather than run the risk of being killed like Saif’s father they have reportedly decided that it is safer to face justice with the ICC, where both are the subject of outstanding arrest warrants for “crimes against humanity”.
Currently Saif is believed to be in transit in the southern Libyan desert protected by a senior Tuareg tribesman who the Gaddafi regime has supported financially and militarily in the past. -more....
