The New York Knicks will acquire unrestricted free agent center Marcus Camby in a sign-and-trade with the Houston Rockets, according to a source close to Camby. Camby's contract will be for $13.2 million over three years. According to the New York Daily News, the Rockets will receive Toney Douglas, Jerome Jordan, Josh Harrellson and second-round picks in 2014 and '15, though no deals can be finalized until July 11. Camby appeared to be narrowing his choices down to the Knicks, Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets. But after postponing a meeting with the Heat on Saturday because they used their mid-level exception on Ray Allen, the Knicks were in the lead. The Nets only had a conference call with Camby, while the Knicks had a face-to-face meeting with him in Houston on Sunday, which a source close to the situation said was "very positive."

Multiple reports have stated that the Clippers could be peripherally involved in a four-team trade in which the Brooklyn Nets land Howard, the Orlando Magic All-Star center they have long coveted, to form a Big Three alongside Deron Williams and Joe Johnson. As part of the proposed deal also involving the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Clippers would send a lottery- protected first-round draft pick to the Magic while receiving Nets shooting guard MarShon Brooks. Brooks, a 6-foot-5 swingman, averaged 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds last season as a rookie. He would join a backcourt that already includes Paul, Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe and Jamal Crawford.
