This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone Oct. 10-13, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,252 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. Results for the full sample have a margin of error of three percentage points. The error margin is 3.5 points for the samples of 1,063 registered voters and 923 likely voters. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York.
