There's no love lost between theNew Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons. In fact, these two teams hate each other.
If you need proof—and you most likely do because most folks outside the South don’t understand just how heated this rivalry is—look no further than the reception the Saints got upon landing in Atlanta on Wednesday.
It appears this rivalry extends much beyond the players on the field.
But this egging incident isn’t the first act of shenanigans in recent memory. And the Atlanta fans and players aren’t the only instigators.
Saints defensive tackle Remi Ayodele told CBS Sports senior writer Pete Prisco that while posing on the Georgia Dome field after a win in 2010 he let out some aggression.
“I pissed on the Falcons logo,” Ayodele told Prisco.
Since that Dec. 26, 2010 game in the Georgia Dome we’ve had reports of urination by the Saints and now some egg tossing by Falcons’ fans at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. We’ve also seen four games—all won by the Saints—and all but one decided by a mere three points.
Get ready for a battle Thursday night in the Georgia Dome when these two meet for their Week 13 battle.
