The BBC also revealed that in the last six weeks a wave of protests in Syria killed at least 450 people. They become victims of security forces shooting and violence. The shooting is still heard in the city of Deraa throughout Wednesday night. The government also deployed tanks since this week to strengthen the armed forces to combat demonstration. A number of European countries and the United States condemned the violence. However, until now, they have not been able to convince fellow members of the UN Security Council to condemn Syria. Russia, China, and Lebanon would consider that international intervention is too early could disturb the atmosphere in Syria.
