IN UNPRECEDENTED EXHIBIT, VATICAN SET TO DISPLAY 100 TOP-SECRET ARCHIVAL

DOCUMENTS

VATICAN CITY (The Blaze/AP) — The Vatican will be displaying 100 select documents from its Secret Archives at an unprecedented exhibit next year, including previously unpublished papers on its World War II-era pope.
The exhibit is the first of its kind and will likely shed light on some important questions surrounding the Church’s involvement and opinions surrounding World War II, the Armenian genocide and other important events and occurrences. According to the Archives’ web site:
The activity of the Archivio Segreto Vaticano pursues two main goals. One is to protect its documentary heritage and ensure its preservation, while the other is to provide scholars with research tools to enhance access to this treasure trove of Church activity conserved in documents spanning thousands of years.
The Vatican No. 2, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, unveiled plans for “Lux in Arcana: The Vatican Secret Archives Revealed” at a briefing Tuesday.
The exhibit, which runs from February to September at Rome’s Capitoline Museums, marks the first time such precious documents, manuscripts and parchments have been allowed out of the Vatican vaults for view by the general public. The occasion is the Archive’s 400th anniversary.
Watch the below video to take a first-hand look inside the archives:
Officials said some of the previously unseen documents concern Pope Pius XII, accused by some Jews of failing to speak out enough to stop the Holocaust.

The is where the history of the early church resides. Before there was the Bible, there were the first Christians and Apostles who knew Jesus himself. To those who say the Bible is the only source of Christian information, I say you are missing more than 300 years of true Christianity.

I would love to have access to the entire archival collection; having read the research of some who have been allowed limited access, they are all described as an incredible collection that must rival the library of congress or the ancient library of alexanderia in egypt.

@Rebulpig, those records were made available to the public investigated by several independent journalists in 1998. About 2000 were put to death in the various inquisitions as opposed to the 9 million taught by some Protestants. It was found that many people preferred to be tried by the courts of the inquisition rather than the state courts.

I really don’t appreciate the word SECRET ARCHIVES. I don’t think the word SECRET should be anywhere in the termonology of Christianity. I wonder is this what the vatican calls the archives ?, or is this the Blazes spin on it.

Isn’t the Ark of the Covenant in there somewhere? Oh, yeah, our guys have that. Just kidding. My husband can pack me a lunch and fit me for an ankle bracelet and let me loose in there. Come to think of it, I’d need a way to find him, too. We are both nerds!

300 years of “True Christianity?” 1 Thessalonians was written less than twenty years after the crucifixion and the Gospels were writting in the 50‘s and 60’s AD.

Snow, I agree with you. I would love to see just some of the books that came from the ancient library of alexanderia from the crusades. Much of what was in that library was taken back to Rome….then also much of it was burned. The life of Jesus was chronicled well by Rome because of The Theophus Commission…..but it has never come to light???

Thankyou BlazingBeacon..ya took the words out of my mouth. Now let me really pee in some cornflakes.
It may come as a HUGE suprise to many of you, but the Church our Lord set up was not called Christianity, it was known as ‘The Way’. (Acts 19)
Christianity became a full blown religion (therefore, in rebellion to God) with the founding of the catholic church, which was really the ancient pagan Roman church with a new name. Same Pontificus Maximus as ‘head’ of the church…new pagan rituals and religious garbage.
I don‘t care what the Vatican has in it’s archives. I have all I need from Gods Word and if anything interesting pops up, I may read it.
    God Bless y’all!

Yes sir, REBEL; “The Way” it was indeed. I love it when people like you chime in. Too much man-man religion and not enough relationship with He who is The Way. Popes, pastors, rabbis come and go–but Jesus is the King and everybody gonna get to deal with Him one Way or another.

I have heard a LOTof BS in my 50+ years and I have to say that your statements is one of the best! Just on the crazy notion that you are serious in what you say I will have to say this. The Old Testament which is originally called the Hebraic Covenant was written thousands of years ago. The New Testament which was originally known as the Renewed Covenant was written between 30 AD and approimately 90 AD. The catholic church was started by constatine around 300 AD. When constatine started what is the called the catholic church was when he decided to merge what was left of the First Church and his religion which was the worship of the sun god. To make it acceptable to his sun worshipers he combined the two and made what is technically a totally different religion. This can be seen in the staff that they carry in their parades, it is in the shape of a cross with a sun burst on it to signify the sun god. Jesus who’s name is actually Yeshua was a Jew who repeatedly quoted from the Hebraic Covenant (Old Testament). If you think what you stated is fact then you were one of those DUMB enough to have voted for obama and and DUMB enough that you intend to vote for him again in

Southern Rebel – Please keep your anti-Catholic bias in check. Please remember that what you refer to as “God’s Word” was determined by the Catholic Church in the 4th century at the council of Nicea. There were many other letters, gospels, etc. that were written by disciples and others who followed Our Lord. However, not all of those writings were inspired by God and thus were not included in the Canon of the Bible that you read today.
