Around hundred and fifty members of the Al-Aamaymeh tribe in Zlitan gathered in Tripoli to protest against a recent NATO airstrike, which they claim killed a number of civilians.
The protesters held pictures of the purported victims and chanted slogans outside the embassy of Hungary, which is member of the military alliance.
Ibrahim Al-Majeri, head of the Libyan Doctors' order, said that Thursday's demonstration was designed "to condemn the massacres by the NATO coalition against the civilians".
Al-Majeri also delivered a protest letter to the Hungarian ambassador in Tripoli.
Libyan officials claimed the strike killed 85 civilians but NATO have denied this, saying that its aircraft hit a staging base and military accommodation 10 kilometres (6 miles) south of Zlitan. - Associated Press
