(AGI) Az-Zawiyah - Since midday what looks like the final battle for the strategic coastal town of az-Zawiyah, only 50 kilometres west of Tripoli with the motorway leading to the border with Tunisia, is now underway in Libya. On Saturday insurgent militias had entered Zawiyah and taken possession of most of the city which has often changed hands in recent months. Forces loyal to the regime were thrown out with the exception of small groups that are still resisting from the local refinery which is one of the most important in Libya . .
