Fierce fighting continued in Sirte yesterday, particularly around the port area, the university and the Mahari hotel to the north-east, with 6 NTC fighters killed and 45 wounded.
Included among the dead, Tuesday, were 2 NTC commanders shot by snipers.

Despite taking the eastern gate over the weekend, just 2 kilometres from the town centre, heavy sniper fire from Gaddafi loyalists has prevented the Opposition fighters advancing much further. --more...
