TRIPOLI - Forces loyal to Libya's new government have occupied all districts of the desert cityof Sabhauntil now a stronghold of supporters of deposed leader Muammar Gadhafiand areinvestigating reports Gadhafi may have fled the citya government spokesman said onThursday.
"Our revolutionaries are controlling 100 percent of Sabha cityalthough there are somepockets of resistance by snipersThis resistance is hopeless," Ahmed Banimilitary spokesmanwith the National Transitional Council (NTC), told reporters in Tripoli.
"We are doing our best looking for the tyrant (Gadhafi). There is some news here and therethat he ran away from Sabha to another place but it cannot be confirmed."
