NTC forces moved forward significantly on Monday beyond the  gateway and roundabout on the eastern side of Sirte.
Once again they are within 2 kilometres of the town centre engaged in heavy and direct street by street fighting backed by NATO strikes on key Gaddafi loyalist positions.
