Tripoli Nov 9 (Reuters) – Two Libyan oilfields have resumed pumping crude after their restarts were delayed due to some problems, Benghazi-based oil company Agoco said on Wednesday.
The two oilfields, Beda and Hamada, restarted some 10 days ago, Agoco spokesman Abdeljalil Mayuf said by phone, saying some of the issues had been transport problems.
“We restarted Hamada and Beda, but it is still a small production,” Mayuf said. “Beda is 5,000 barrels per day and Hamada 2,000 barrels a day.”
He said Beda and Hamada normally produce some 10,000 barrels per day.
The oilfields were due to restart on Oct. 15 but were delayed for a few days because some pipeline leaks had been discovered, Mayuf said last month. (Reporting by Marie-Louise Gumuchian; editing by Keiron Henderson)
