China and Russia seem determined to be 2 countries to be left out on the sidelines of international politics and diplomacy. First on Libya and more recently on Syria.
In Libya both countries, having supported Gaddafi and opposed the NTC, will undoubtedly lose out on the lucrative oil and rebuilding contracts to come. If Assad falls in Syria and the Opposition win through, then once again they are liable to find themselves on the losing side.
