Today Rome celebrates the 2765th birthday of its foundation!!

In the Anno Urbis Conditae system, 2012 is the same as AUC 2765 (2012 + 753), April 21st 753 BC being the first day of the first year in the Roman calendar dating from the founding of Rome.
