In the 18th dynasty of ancient Egypt there was a commoner without any royal lineage named Ay. He had an obsession to become a Pharaoh. He became Grand Vizier Ay. This was the highest position in ancient Egypt except for the Pharaoh and it enabled him to be an adviser to the Pharaoh. He held this position doing the reigns of Akhenaten, Nefertiti and Tutankhamun.
