If Mitt Romney wins what will happen to the democratic, liberal and progressive opinions on: war, domestic spying, ows beatdowns, whistle blowers, non-prosecution of financial terrorists, DHS, death by drone and stuff. What sort of necessary action will Romney need to take to allow DEMS to be aggressively opposed to these things and blame the president - like Bush? I can't imagine politics as usual if serious partisan friction did not exist along these lines. There seems to be no stopping the buildup in the Arden Gulf and Asian Pacific 'arenas'

As far as I can personally tell this bias shift was initially justified by the words, "He got Osama". However, that doesn't explain the current complacency of the majority.

"We all admire police officers, firefighters and teachers. The decision about how many of those folks to have rests in the hands of state and local governments."

And there you have the real Conservative vision for the nation: "you're on your own." Well, then this whole "one nation" business is, what, just a silly phrase we throw around like "God save the Queen" is across the pond? Something that means absolutely nothing anymore?
The Conservative vision for America is fraudulent on every possible level. They aren't interested in a healthy society, a growing economy, an improved quality of life, or now not even in an educated citizenry or safer streets. Makes you wonder just exactly what it is they ARE interested in, eh?
