Israel expressed concern on Saturday after reports emerged that Syrian president Bashar Assad may be losing control over military assets, including air defense base.

Netherlands decides to boost help for opposition rebels in #Syria

The Netherlands is going to step up its support for the Syrian opposition, Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal announced on Saturday after holding talks with the Syrian National Council in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

Syria: "30,000 Assad soldiers in #Homs ". New bloodshed looming.

(AGI) Beirut - Syrian opposition is fearing a new massacre by government troops in the central province of #Homs . According to the Syrian National Council #thirty  #thousand  Assad regime soldiers have been sent in the area, including some regime's militias. This is an unprecedented deployment of troops who would be ready to launch a massive attack. This attack could end up in a bloodshed" as people could not escape from it. The Syrian Human Rights Observatory say that more that one thousand familes are trapped in Homs, including a very large number of women and children
