The Obama staff is turning lemons into lemonade. Or, more specifically, Birthers into Abe Lincolns.
For $5, you can now buy a button that features a smiling portrait of Obama above the words “Made in the USA” and a picture of his birth certificate.
The button, which can be found on Obama’s campaign Web site, appears next to a brief message from the campaign staff:
“There’s really no way to make the conspiracy about President Obama’s birth certificate completely go away, so we might as well laugh at it — and make sure as many people as possible are in on the joke. Get your Obama birth certificate Made in the USA button today.”
