In an unaired excerpt of his interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes,” President Obama acknowledged that some of his campaign ads have been dubiously truthy.
“Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, mistakes that are made, areas where there’s no doubt that somebody could dispute how we are presenting things, that happens in politics,”
Obama said, in an unaired interview clip posted on the news organization’s Web site. But, he argued, overall voters were getting an accurate sense of the contrast between the candidates.
Host Steve Kroft asked about inaccuracy on “both sides,” but Romney wasn’t asked the same question, so we don’t know what his response would be.
