Dwight Howard Rumors: Atlanta Hawks Through NBA Trade or Free Agency?

Dwight Howard rumors include NBA trade rumors, signing with the Atlanta Hawks, staying with the LA Lakers, or even signing with the Dallas Mavericks. It seems that everyone has an opinion on what he should do, but one team that doesn't want himis the Orlando Magic.
Due to the struggles of the Lakers this season and Howard seemingly not being completely comfortable there, it has led many analysts to assume he might not want to sign a contract extension with the team. Through 32 games this season, he is averaging 17.4 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game.
At the end of the 2012-13 NBA season he becomes an unrestricted free agent, allowing Howard to sign with any team in the league. There is likely going to be a huge bidding war for his services if that takes place, giving Howard the chance to find the situation that works best for him. That scenario might lead him out of Los Angeles.
The Hawks and Mavs have a lot of money to spend this next off-season, but he could sign with the Lakers for a pretty big chunk of money as well. The problem for Howard might be that the long-term prospects for the Lakers aren't that good. Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash won't be around too much longer, so maybe it is time for him to hook up with a young elite point guard like what they have up in Portland right now.
