I’m going to throw out a theory I’ve been thinking through in my head. This looks like defeat yesterday. Everyone is down. The deep state thinks they are winning. The Dems think they’ve embarrassed Trump, and his political momentum, and ties to his base are fractured.

Think Santa Anna’s army against Sam Houston at the Battle if San Jacinto. Think General Lee’s army against General Meade at the Battle of Gettysburg. Both drawn into the trap, and both defeated. What if that’s what trump has just done.

We are thinking it’s bad but we know Trump, and we know what his team has been fighting to bring down. What if this isn’t defeat, but the key move in the battle. We just didn’t realize it yesterday.
