President Donald Trump’s White House is not moving from its demand for more than $5 billion in border Wall funding, which is backing Democrats into a corner as we enjoy Day 15 of the federal government shutdown.

V.P. Mike Pence — who raised some concerns when he tried to go lower than $5 billion in a recent negotiation, and was reportedly overruled by Trump — is holding the White House line. He met with congressional leaders Saturday and would not budge on the $5 billion.

The Democrats are still confused, and clearly lack strategy.
