MOUSSA IBRAHIM BOUNCES BACK ON AL-RAI TV:
The Moussa Ibrahim saga came to a temporary halt last night when he apparently telephoned the Al-Rai TV station in Syria to say that he had not been captured. “This information is a lie and does not reflect reality because I was near the front of Sirte with 23 fighters,” Ibrahim said.“We were attacked for over a day-and-a-half by heavily armed rebels. There were deaths on both sides. Tomorrow we expect a strong attack from several points of Sirte but we are ready,” he added.
Bizarely, he concluded the phone call by passing on a message from Gaddafi who had asked him to forward condolences to the family of former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser whose son, Khaled Abdel Nasser, had died on September 15th.
