For the first time, scientists have confirmed that an alien planet (what's it called?) is conducive to life as we know it on Earth (how many alien planets are there?). It's about twice the size of Earth and exists in the middle of the "habitable zone," which is the area where liquid water could exist on a planet's surface (see photos of the device used to find it).
