The Patriots on Thursday evening denied a report that they had been in contact with the Seahawks about trading up for the 12th overall selection in tonight's first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
"The Patriots have not spoken w/ Seattle about moving up to the #12 pick. #NFLDraft," the team tweeted on its official account.
Earlier Thursday, Albert Breer of the NFL Network tweeted the following: "Per league sources, Patriots have inquired with Seattle about what it would take to get to 12. Could be just info gathering. Could be more."
