Could be interesting but unfortunately I don't think the film will be anywhere near as good as the original.

It just has too much to live up to.

Yay, #Robocop remake and it will MAYBE have Hugh Laurie as the "villain".
If that's true, I'll consider it a bonus to a movie I'm gonna watch anyway.

I'm not so sure about movie remakes… they tend to fail a bit ^^;

The original Robocop wasn't too bad, besides the cheap effects they had back then. xD –– they even went on to make a TV series of Robocop at one point.

I liked the original movie(s), so I'll give it a try.
If it's good, then it's good, if they screw it up, I'm just going to ignore it and stick to the original.^^
