I have a Q for everyone with more legal expertise than me. Does revenue share ever define a monopoly under US law? With about 30 percent of smartphone OS unit share, Apple by no means is monopoly.

But numerous reports put revenue share well about 75 percent. Doesn't that count for something, particularly influence over carriers and the subsidies they pay?

Just asking. It's not my area of expertise.

They do not fit the definition of a monopoly, no. There is plenty of consumer choice and (other than crazy lawsuits) fair competition in the marketplace to provide this type of goods.

Did #Apple disappoint you today? Nothing all that innovative... a laptop with an improved screen resolution (expected), announcement that in the fall photo streams can be shared with other users -- so, basically, Instagram.

Is this revolutionary stuff? Am I missing something?

history repeats itself, jobs no longer at the helm and apple is on a downward spiral

Happy to finally see turn by turn navigation built into IOS devices (yes it's been on Android for years, that doesn't help me.) It may make Google rethink their maps strategy.  Maybe not though,  they're too busy trying to compete with Facebook and Twitter.
