Starred (close) friends on Facebook... I totally want this on Google+

Yesterday Facebook offered me to star some friends. Now, every time they post, the little notification counter goes red. I can control it if I want.

I'd totally want this here, +Google+! This way, I wouldn't miss a single post from my favorite bunch.

And instead of "Direct Share" circles which go around (I have one myself: http://goo.gl/QtAuV - go there and leave a comment if you want to be notified when I post original stuff), we'd call followers to star us. This would immensely increase engagement and fun.

What do you guys think about this feature, +Johan Horak +Jaana Nyström +pio dal cin +Shamil Weerakoon +Rahul Roy?
