Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney gained 2 points on President Barack Obama in the Gallup daily tracking poll today, and now trails the president 49-46. It's slight evidence of a further polling bump for Romney — Rasmussen's poll has him up 2 points today.
Obama staved off a post-debate fall yesterday, as he actually jumped a point in the seven-day rolling average. But Saturday's poll includes two days of surveys after the debate, after which Obama earned lackluster reviews from both viewers and pundits. 
Romney gained a point and Obama fell a point compared to Friday. Obama's approval rating is back down to 50 percent, two days after hitting its highest point in three years at 54 percent. His disapproval rating is up 2 points to 45 percent.
