Is the Rasmussen poll skewed? Likewise, the Gallup tracking poll, which is skewed six percent

Is the Rasmussen poll skewed?

Since uncovering the pattern of major mainstream media polls being skewed by over sampling of Democrats, I've been asked if the surveys by Rasmussen Reportsare skewed. The Rasmussen Report Daily Presidential Tracking poll released today shows President Obama leading over Mitt Romney by a 49 percent to 47 percent margin. Likewise, the Gallup tracking poll, which is skewed six percent in favor of Democrats, released today show Obama leading 50 percent to 45 percent. Clearly the more skewed of the two is the Gallup poll, by those results.
So that leaves the questions, is the Rasmussen poll skewed? I am not sure what partisan weighting Rasmussen uses, if they weight their polls by such a measure, so I can't say based on not knowing that information that their surveys are skewed.
But I can say their polls have been among the most accurate in the polling industry. In 2010 they were very accurate compared to the real election results. In 2008 they correctly predicted the popular vote between Barack Obama and John McCain. That's about as accurate as polls can be.
Some on the far left like to repeat the rumor, quite false, that Rasmussen is biased towards Republicans, a smear that has been repeated numerous times by Nate Silver of the New York Times political blog fivethirtyeight.com. This is simply one of many such tinfoil hat conspiracy theories of the extreme left and it simply is not true.
Rasmussen Reports remains the most accurate in the business and until proven otherwise, I will declare their polls and surveys to not be skewed.
In contrast to this, many other polls clearly have been and continue to be skewed. Last month, the previous CNN/ORC poll was similarly skewedIn August on the Fox News segment “Campaign Insiders” today, Democratic pollsters Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen both confirmed their belief that major polls are skewed in favor of the Democrats by over-sampling of Democratic voters when the surveys are conducted.
So many of these skewed polls have been unskewed here in this column they are now averaged, in unskewed form, in the new UnskewedPolls.com UnSkewed Average of Polls that today shows Romney leading by 1.1 percent.
The polls got UnSkewed, now the media gets it too -- UnSkewedMedia.com.
