A day after his commanding performance in a presidential debate that attracted historic levels of TV viewership, a new Virginia poll has Mitt Romney up slightly over President Obama in the battleground state both camps say they need to take the White House.

Rasmussen Reports this morning revealed the results from their Thursday night polling that has Romney edging Obama 49 percent to 48 percent. ...

Rasmussen's poll suggested that Virginians are engaged in the election. Ninety-one percent of Virginia voters now say they are certain to vote on Election Day, he said.
