The explosions, seemingly caused by Israeli air strikes, shook the enclave shortly after a bomb exploded on a bus in Tel Aviv, wounding at least ten people.
Meanwhile, efforts to broker a diplomatic solution to the crisis continued as the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Egypt.
Following her meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, Mrs Clinton said that it was “essential to de-escalate the situation”.
