Gaddafi Willing to Negotiate: Report

In an about-face, Col. Muammar Gaddafi is sending an associate to the rebel stronghold of Benghazi to discuss a cease-fire, sources told Reuters Monday. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reports that Gaddafi has proposed a special parliament meeting that would pave the way for him to step down, Al Jazeera reports. The reported concessions would be a shock, considering that earlier on Monday, Gaddafi’s forces ordered brutal new air strikes in the rebel-held oil port of Ras Lanouf, located about 375 miles from the capital, Tripoli, prompting Britain and France to call for a no-fly zone over the nation.
