Libya: Heavy fighting Az Zawiya

At least 18 people were slain and 120 injured when supporters of the Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi attacked the town of Az Zawiya, in the hands of insurgents. So say eyewitnesses.
According to the eyewitness at the hospital in Az Zawiya opponents of Gadhafi fighting with government forces that besieged city from two sides. Az Zawiya is about 50 km west of Tripoli. The witness and other people of Az Zawiya reported that the city still held by the opposition.
Moammar Gadhafi during an interview with international media earlier said that the protesters in Az Zawiya supporters he would be. The events in the city, however, show a different picture.
