Is there more "evil" than "good" in the world?

Qaddafi, Gadhfi, Khadafi…Whatever,
let’s just call him the dude with the sick shades, the ripper of the 21st century, or the African version of Hitler. As for me, my favorite is Gerr-dafi. Recently Gerr-dafi has been threatening to carry out attacks in Europe against ‘’homes, offices, families’’, unless NATO halts bombing campaign. Gerr-dafi is still adamant that people love him; why are they rioting then? Sources of intelligence in Gerr-dafi’s regime confirmed that they retrieved all foreign communities of Moroccans, Algerians, and Africans to the martyrs’ square on Friday 1st July, 2011. Gerr-dafi’s regime also compelled and blackmailed families of the detainees to come to the martyrs’ square, he also brought some of his thug supporters from other cities and security forces in civilian clothes to come up with that artificial crowd.

Today, I received a shocking email from a dear friend of mine. Here is what she sadly informed me in her email:

‘’ My aunt was abducted from her home. The following day she was found thrown on the ground in a nearby city beaten, stabbed, shot with several bullets. She is my dad’s sister. She was in her 50s with a son in college. She is from the city of Tajura and has been reported on in AlJazeera and Libya Alhurra. I am requesting that you kindly take a few minutes to make sincere duaa for her. May a swt grant her the highest Janna. May a swt have mercy on her and all the shuhada!!!!’’

This is truly sad and only Allah know the whole truth about the situation in Libya. In fact, the situation is continuing to escalate and it’s clear that it’s rising critically and we need to pray. Libya is still experiencing an increasing shelling and gun fire, and the number of children and women involved is shockingly growing. There are people in the country that could normally help but they are still too frightened to act. Libya is intoxicated by massive confusions because of that Satan called ‘’GADDAFI’’. I keep wondering sometimes, do we need a miracle to get rid of Qaddafi once and for all? I have faith in God that no matter what, Gaddafi sooner or later shall pay for every drop of Libyan blood that is shed through his orders. I also know that Gaddafi is finished, his time is up. This rat has nothing to offer to the Libyan people and we as Libyan people are tired of his autocratic rule, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Today, Libyan Freedom Fighters, with their unbreakable faith and determination are showing Gerr-dafi that Libya is not his anymore and he can’t be a hero as he claims. Gaddafi has had the opportunity of being the ‘’revolutionary leader’’ for more than 40 years and ‘’the king of kings’’. Now that mad-man MUST cede the seat of power to a new generation with new ideas that can build its country on a national unity and not on a tribal division. Gerr-dafi was accepted as a funny leader through his look, speeches and actions at home and abroad. Now there is nothing funny about him in describing the majority of Libyans who revolt against him as rats and killing them with impunity. Simply, Gerr-dafi you shall go and put up with the consequences of your horrific crimes, soon, very soon Insha Allah.

Sadly, Libya has long been a mystery to the world and its lunatic ripper Gaddafi seen as a ticking time bomb on the international stage. 6.4 million Libyan souls in a situation the world know little about, due to the restrictions on the media in Libya. But with the Libyan uprising, the increasing media coverage inside Libya and the world intervention everything has changed in Libya. Question is, to the better or to the worse? Some people think that sanctions, no fly zone restrictions and any other measure being considered by the world can only make Gaddafi stronger; well, I disagree. I know that Gaddafi has prepared for this situation long before now, and that sanctions and embargo may only affect ordinary Libyans- Not Gaddafi. The west intervention might not have been the perfect solution, but to leave Libya alone is to have a repeat of Rwanda genocide in North Africa, so let the mistakes of the past guide us today towards the future, and we should not forget that we are dealing with the African version of Hitler. The west did not intervene in Rwanda and Uganda at critical moments because they were of no value to them.  Whereas, Libya has oil - and we all know that the West is supremely hypocritical. That’s why the Libyan TNC must be very careful about external intervention, and the world should not leave Libya alone. The world should not let a single madcap man stand in front of the will of a whole nation. The international community should pursue more pressure on him and his clan. Leaving him alone will just worsen the situation. Libya should return to stability.

To every individual and specifically to those savage, murderous leaders, presidents, and governments that keep saying the world should leave Libya alone: for some 42 years the world interfered in Libyan affairs in the form of Corporations and governments making deals, contracts, and treaties with Gaddafi, enabling him in his abuse of the Libyan people. The world had been helping this ‘’mad man’’ to corrupt and support him in power, to the economic benefit of the West and the detriment of the Libyan people. So why leave Libya alone now? Why not support real democracies and real universal human rights in Libya and everywhere else? The Libyan TNC and the world should pay a good deal of attention to Libya, Libya’s oil impacts the world economy (jobs and recovery). To the Libyan TNC:  you must be more organized and speak in one line and have legitimacy to represent the Libyan people accurately. To every humankind: if the free world had long time ago resolved not to do business with countries that are not democratic or with countries that are not fully compliant with UN resolutions, the world would not be in such a mess. If the free world had followed this principle, the free world would have prospered, because prosperity should be the reward of freedom and democracy. Unfortunately, world powers always bent the rule to suit their own objectives. Today, it’s sad to say that DIPLOMACY and HYPOCRISY ARE SYNONYMS!

Regime-change and revolution is not about obliterating the enemy, it’s about winning the people and uniting them to a better cause, and that what the Libyans are doing. By God’s will, we Libyans are and shall be always united in our goal to oust Gerr-dafi, not of hatred for the pro-Gaddafi people, but out of love for our country and hope that the future will give us all freedom, unity and democracy.

To all martyrs and heroes of Libya who died for their beloved Libya, Rest In Peace; and we, Libyan freedom fighters who are still fighting for our nation and freedom along with the Libyan TNC that represent us to the world now, must remember that "Dam alshuhada" (the blood of the our martyrs) is an oath not a slogan and we must honor their sacrifice by being united in one word and one action to build a nation they would be proud of.

After Gaddafi ...

AfterGaddafi, people won't get to know the outside world only through ‘’BookFace’’, but by traveling freely.

AfterGaddafi,Journalists will actually be journalists. But some will still continue to ask stupid questions :)

AfterGaddafi, we'll remember that "Dam alshuhada" is an oath not a slogan & honor their sacrifice by building a nation they'd be proud of

AfterGaddafi, I hope Libya doesn't lose its culture & spirit that we love so much. Tourism is good but we can't compromise the Epic Libyan Jaw!

AfterGaddafi, who knows... maybe Amu (uncle) Whirlpool will come to Libya and say "toilets for everyone! On me!

AfterGaddafi, our beaches still won't be topless friendly (sorry Europe. But Roman ruins are still pretty great)

AfterGaddafi, we will see a lot more smiling faces, hope, jobs, nice homes, and modern stores.

AfterGaddafi, there will be some chaos, frustration, anger, jostling for power & position. We must remember to stay focused, & committed then.

AfterGaddafi, groups of Libyans will not be known as pro-G and dissident, but as democrats, social conservatives, labor progressives, etc.

AfterGaddafi, I will know what it feels like to walk with the sands of the Mediterranean beneath my toes

AfterGaddafi, people will finally understand the importance of handicap accessibility, and incorporate it into reconstruction of infrastructure

AfterGaddafi, I will be able to use my real name on twitter (I use it already any way: p)

AfterGaddafi, Libyans will study and respect the contributions of the Amazigh subculture in Libya's past, present, and future

AfterGaddafi, when you mention you're Libyan, people will exclaim, "Oh, like those amazing freedom fighters!"Instead of "Gaddafi's country!”

AfterGaddafi, young men and women will go to University wondering which career they'd like to pursue, not "what's the point, there’s no jobs".

So, AfterGaddafi. nohrobo Li LIBYA :p

GOD Bless LIBYA ....Long Live LIBYA

VIDEOS and PICTURES taken by me from my area: Ben Ashour, Tripoli

Video1

This video was taken on Fiday, 25th Feb, 2011. Right after Friday prayers, people started to leave the mosque which is a two-minute walk from my building in Ben Ashour. I could hear that gunfire had already started in another area before the people finished their prayers. As the peaceful protestors left the mosque, they started to chant: La Ellaha Ela ALLAH, Qaddafi Adouaa Allah – “There is no god but God, Qaddafi is the enemy of God”. The moment I saw that scene I was so happy, proud, and speechless!

----
A short time after the protestors passed by my street, an open car with 5 armed thugs parked in front of my building. They opened fire in the air, and then one of them said loudly, “Whoever doesn’t like Qaddafi, get out of your house now!” Then he said, “As long as you stay inside your homes you will be safe, and whoever comes out will be immediately killed.”

While I was witnessing this terrifying moment, I slowly opened my window and took these quick pictures of them; unfortunately I failed to take a video because they were many and armed and their eyes were wide open around the whole street, and above all they were in front of my building.

Libya, Libya, Libya,

LIBYA, LIBYA, LIBYA WAS THE NATIONAL ANTHOM OF THE KINGDOM OF LIBYA FROM INDEPENDENCE IN 1951 UNTIL 1969. WHEN KING IDRIS I WAS OVERTHROWN BY A COUP D'ÉTAT LED BY THE THUG AND RUTHLESS KILLER MUAMMAR AL-GADDAFI.

THAT WILL BE LIBYA'S ANTHEM SOON - INSHA ALLAH !

Oh my country! With my struggle and my patience
Drive off enemies and mishaps,
And survive!
Survive all through, we are your ransom
Libya, Libya, Libya!
Oh my country! You are the heritage of grandfathers,
May Allah cast off any hand that would harm you
Do survive! We are for ever your soldiers,
If you survive we care not who perishes.
To you we give solemn pledges
That we, Oh Libya, will never fail you.
We will never go back to fetters, we have been liberated,
and we have freed our home country Libya, Libya, Libya.

Killing Qaddafi’s Son

Today people and media all over the world are wondering about Qaddafi’s son, Saif-Al Arab, being targeted by NATO and perhaps killed. Do we really care? As for me, not really. Qaddafi and his family are welcome to surrender anytime, dead or alive. At the same time as Musa Ibrahim was claiming the death of Qaddafi’s son and his 3 grandchildren, we watched on the national Libyan TV Qaddafi’s thugs gathering in Bab Al-azziziya dancing and singing LIVE! Must be those pills again. If NATO is going to make any advance over Qaddafi, they must seriously consider shutting down Libyan state TV and its incitement. We all know that anything can be expected from Qaddafi and that he is sick enough to even fabricate the report of the death of his own son to stay in power (the al-Arabiya channel claims ‘inner circle’ witnesses say Saif al-Arab is dead, but not his children).

The war is raging in Libya and I am against NATO killing innocent children, even if they happen to be the grandchildren of Qaddafi – because this is not about him, it’s about who the decent Libyans are and the values they stand for. On the other hand,  I believe it’s naïve if anyone thinks the rat Qaddafi and his family were really in that compound last night (30th May), and before anyone can damn NATO for the alleged deaths of Qaddafi’s grandchildren, wait for confirmation that they are his and not the bodies of kids he’s killed (remember the ‘daughter’ of Qaddafi killed by American bombing in 1986 was in fact posthumously adopted).

It’s obvious that Qaddafi is so desperate that he has no choice but to try to put pressure on the international community to discredit the military campaign. But whether his son was killed or not is insignificant. Why would his death – if it’s really true – be any different than the deaths of others in Libya? Why would one unknown son be worth more than 3000 Libyans known dead and more hurt? Isn’t this prejudice and discrimination? This loony Qaddafi doesn’t mind if he sacrifices everyone else to stay in power, and that’s the scariest part of all. It’s just sickening how “anti-imperialists” condemn the NATO bombing of Qaddafi’s compound, yet remain silent on killings in Libya by Qaddafi, in Yemen by Saleh and in Syria by Assad.

Another reason behind this big fuss over Qaddafi’s son’s death is that he’s trying to take the media attention needed in Misrata, where there are dangerous indications that Gaddafi’s campaign of murder is about to reach a new and more fatal level. There’s a lot of talk by freedom fighters in Misrata that Mutasim, another Qaddafi son, is providing gas masks to his soldiers as they prepare to attack, and over 5000 of Qaddafi’s forces have been handed masks in Zlitan and have been ordered to dress in civilian clothes preparing for Misrata.

Qaddafi’s continuous and desperate assault and his clownish propaganda will neither scare Libyans nor fool the world. By God’s will, Misrata and Nafusa will never be taken by Qaddafi.

I hope NATO bombs Gaddafi tonight and makes sure he dies this time before Misrata becomes extinct in the coming days.

Who Will Survive in the End

As the 17th February commemorates the memory of the fallen victims of the Abu Salim prison massacre, when over 1200 prisoners were brutally executed, the 7thApril is also known as one of those days that witnessed some of the worst abuses of human rights in Libyan history. On 7th April 1976, Qaddafi ordered the persecution and public execution of Libyan university students who were suspected of opposing the regime. The same month of the same year also commemorates Qaddafi’s physical liquidation campaign against Libyan dissidents inside and outside Libya.

Today I called a family member in Libya and she told me that the living conditions and the level of terror in Tripoli are indescribable. People go to the gas stations, wait for hours, and when their turn comes, they may be unlucky and find none left. There is no money in banks anymore. Every time she goes to the bank, they keep telling her the same thing: that there is no money. People barely go out, and what’s worse is that there are many elderly and babies who must receive weekly treatment in clinics. The critical living conditions of Tripoli are disrupting its economic life gravely, as Malta stopped a fuel ship on its way to west Libya, preventing it from making its delivery in accordance with the UN blockade.

However, Qaddafi’s forces keep giving large sums of money to people who join his heinous forces or go to Bab al-Aziziya and salute Qaddafi outside his fortified compound. In fact, the revolutionaries found some of Qaddafi’s mercenaries in possession of thousands of dollars as a payment to kill Libyans with no mercy. Also, the brigade of Khamis, Qaddafi’s most sadistic son, feeds non-Libyan mercenaries the flesh of dogs, and hits those who refrain from eating it. This video shows how the mercenaries are treated and ordered to shed the blood of the defenseless Libyan civilians.

With the continuous and intense shelling in Misrata by Qaddafi’s thugs, I learned today that one of my cousins who lives in Misrata didn’t make it out of city. Her family hasn’t heard from her since the beginning of March, as the city is completely blocked and isolated with no electricity, no water, and all communications cut off. The saddest part is that my cousin was pregnant in her ninth month and due to deliver her baby by the beginning of March. Her father did his utmost to reach and help her leave Misrata but all his attempts failed. Her father said, “I already consider her a martyr, and if I learned she is alive then that would be a miracle.” She is 28 years old. The wounded Libyans who flee from Misrata keep talking about the ineffable violence and shelling and that there is no corner safe in Misrata to hide from Qaddafi’s brutal forces.

With all this, NATO is not helping the revolutionaries to gain strength on the ground, and coalition airstrikes have destroyed only 30% of Gaddafi’s air defenses. NATO is supposed to destroy defensive Qadaffi positions, infantry, artillery and armor. With soldiers and tanks destroyed from the air the revolutionaries could easily use their own tanks and soldiers to take the vacant terrain and move forward. I wonder if the UN resolution said anything about helping revolutionaries to unshackle cities like Misrata, Zawiya and Zentan from Qaddafi’s vicious forces. The NATO move seems to be fully against the UN resolution by doing more accidental killing against the opposition side but almost nothing to protect the defenseless civilians in Misrata. NATO seems to be incapable in carrying out precise airstrikes. Whatever the reason is, the lying and hypocrisy surrounding this military action is disgusting.

But to look on the bright side, one of the unmentioned gains of the NFZ is saving Libya from watching Qaddafi or Saif’s long speeches about the opposition being part of al-Qaeda – I’m starting to wonder whether or not al-Qaeda is reveiving royalties every time a dictator uses their name in a speech. Neither do we have to hear speeches about hallucinatory pills. In fact, I believe the biggest relief pill that the entire planet can enjoy now is hearing the confirmed news that Gaddafi is dead.

Back to Tripoli. Last Friday, April 1st, security forces fired tear gas and rubber bullets to break up anti-regime demonstrations after Friday prayers in Tajura, located in the city’s outskirts. Qaddafi’s officials ordered the international press not to leave the hotel on Friday because it would be too dangerous for them to go out, or better say too shocking for them to witness how Qaddafi’s forces treat bare-handed protestors.
Recent updates confirm that Omar Fathi bin Shatwan, Qaddafi’s former energy minister, has fled to Malta, where he says members of the inner circle want to defect but are afraid for their family’s lives. He also announced that Qaddafi is running out of cash and oil to finance his war against his own people.

The battle is getting harder and more unfair as Libyan revolutionaries survive on dried milk, tuna and dates, while Qaddafi survives on bunkers, mercenaries, slaves and using rape as a war tool. But I know who will survive in the end.

Interview with Anderson Cooper

My Interview with Anderson Cooper from CNN- AC360 show on 22 Feb, 2011 from Tripoli., Libya:

That's the video I asked Anderson to listen to during our talk. I recorded it the same evening of Feb 22, 2011, i  remember it was around 5.30 pm after Asr prayer. With no mercy, Quaddafi's forces started shooting bare hand civilians using tanks, helicopter gunships, machine guns, and foreign mercenarie!
