Revolutionary forces continue to battle for Brega Revolutionary forces in Libya’s east say they have fallen back after a failed advance on the oil town of Brega that left one fighter dead. Fighter Abdel-Hamid Badein said today that revolutionary forces advanced on the town only to be pushed back by Muammar Gaddafi’s troops. After yesterday’s clash, revolutionaries returned to their positions farther east. Revolutionary military spokesman Ahmed Bani said one fighter was killed and eight injured. Gaddafi’s government yesterday described the advance as “a full-scale attack” and said it was repelled. Fighting in Libya’s east between government troops and revolutionary forces, known collectively as National Liberation Army (NLA) , seeking to oust Gadhafi has stagnated for months, with the Gaddafi’s government holding Brega and NLA battling against them.
