PARIS, July 13 (agencies): France Wednesday condemned as "indecent" Russia and China's "blocking" of a proposedUnited Nations resolution on the crisis in Syria.
The comment was made by Defence Minister Gerard Longuet, a day after Prime Minister Francois Fillon said the UN Security Council's "silence" on Syria's crackdown on anti-regime protests was "no longer acceptable."
Meanwhile: Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad has missed a series of chances for reform, President Barack Obama said Tuesday denouncing an attack on the US embassy in Damascus.
"He has missed opportunity after opportunity to present a genuine reform agenda," Obama told CBS television.
Syria's ties with the United States and France have plummeted four months into a revolt against Assad, after pro-regime crowds attacked the embassies of the United States and France Monday.
"We've sent a clear message that nobody can be messing with our embassy and that we will take whatever actions necessary in order to protect our embassy," Obama added on CBS.
