commonsense
I'm sorry but I'm 100% Mexican, my mother and father were born in Mexico and came here the right way. I was born and raised here (the right way.) However I (unlike the rest of the liberals) am well educated in economics.
We (the US) CANNOT handle providing services to that many illegal individuals without collapsing the middle class (which HELLO is who pays MOST of the damn taxes!!!) Our public education is a joke!! Their poor classrooms are packed! Many of the children, especially in California are not even allowed to be here. Cause and effect. No liberal seems to see the effect of their "help everyone" mentality. Classrooms are over flowing = teachers being over worked= teachers crying for more money (which is completely understandable because of their work load) = more TAX dollars. I'm not sure if you are aware of this but we're not receiving any taxes from these illegals. They however are receiving plenty of TAX PAID programs!!! You see the a** backward view?? Because I'm pretty sure it's common sense. I don't hate my own kind (or any other race) I'm just a realist, I paid attention in economics (which is only taught for 1 semester in public schools.)
And please spare me the river of tears about the rich not paying taxes. The problem isn't the rich, it's the tax system. Don't blame them for having the majority of their assets in stock (which is taxed at 15%) They obviously know where to put their money and how to keep it growing. If you want to blame anyone, blame the government for not educating people about money and the money market. I am not rich, hell I wouldn't even consider myself middle class. However I work my a** off, pay all my bills, pay all my taxes, and educate myself. It's not about what political side you're on it's about common sense!

AMEN to that commonsense. I came from Cuba with my parents in 1962 and have always paid my taxes and worked hard. I married an American citizenand have lived in this country and served in its military proudly. My children were born here and both of my boys work hard and pay their taxes; graduated from college, married and gave me grandchildren. Now my youngest was RIF'd, but is already looking for another job and already has had 2 interviews for a comptroller's job. He was thrifty and smart enough to save for a rainy day and will weather this crisis well, God willing . . . People need to wake up and realize that nothing is free, even that which they tell you it is! One has to pay for everything, one way or another. Let's try to follow former President John F. Kennedy's advise: . . . ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country!
Again, WELL SAID, commonsense!!!
