Galaxies come in all shapes and sizes. I Zwicky 18 is a small "dwarf" galaxy, and is so odd that when I saw this extremely long-exposure Hubble image of it I thought it was a drawing by an artist!

I Zwicky 18 is weird in lots of other ways, too, so much so that we may have to rethink the role dwarf galaxies played in the early Universe, and how our own galaxy formed! Read the link for more.
