Al-Nusra triggers fears of Syria sectarianism

Experts say group claiming recent bombings may benefit the regime, as it tries to ignite sectarian war.


There is growing concern in Syria over sectarianism and the changing nature of the uprising.

A new group called al-Nusra has claimed several recent bombings and says it wants to destroy the Alawite government of President Bashar al-Assad.

But as Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee explains, al-Nusra's methods could be valuable propaganda for Assad.
