Russia is all in in Syria they want one thing in return for cooperation and that is dismantling the new NATO missile defense shield, if that doesn't happen they aren't going to budge...

This kind of bolsters the argument to keep NATO. If they are willing to have thousands of people killed over diplomacy, what's going to happen if there is a dispute over resources?
