Record number of Australian riders in 2012
Thanks largely to the inclusion of Green Edge racing, an Australian based team, this year sees 12 Australian riders in +Le Tour De France, which sets off from Liege this Saturday 30 June.
Given Green Edge do not have a GC contender, I hope that where possible, they will lend some assistance to Cadel Evans. Two other Australians will definitely not work for Cadel, Michael Rogers and Richie Porte...who both ride as mountain lieutenants for Tour favourite Bradley Wiggins.
