+Tim Beilfuss Thanks for pointing out that my state is in the hole BIG TIME!!!! Yeah, I am so sick and tired of spending spending spending and getting no where here in IL. We are bankrupt, and lets also point out that this is where Obama is from. In fact he served us, the people of IL in Springfield where he was a waste of space. He voted present rather than tackle the tough decisions here, an option that our illustrious Illinois government gives to it's elected officials when they don't want to take a stand on an issue. Yep, 72% of my property taxes go to a school district that does not accept federal funds. Therefore my taxes are high enough that they would make some of you cry. Meanwhile I home schooled my three children so that they did not have to deal with the public schools social agenda and lack of useful education. But I still paid my $3,800 (roughly the schools portion) a year to the schools so that the illegals down the block would get an education. Our teachers are paid extremely well here and they are still complaining. Awesome place, this IL., and Wisconsin would be ahead at running from this government model as fast as humanly possible. We are actively hunting for jobs outside of this "great" (sarcasm) state just to get out of here. As soon as the opportunity avails itself to us we will be gone. So thanks again for pointing this out, you are 100% correct.

The real problem is how do you help people who vote against their own interests?

Do they really have to play out the hand of despair first hand before they no better, and then is the die cast?

as i look at it i am not as sure that they have done as much voting against their own self interest as may appear. remember that they have a history of some tampering with some ballots in the recent past and doesn't that person involved still hold the same office? ... and there is about to be more investigation into the gov. what we know about that case may yet lead to uncover much more wrong doing ... i am watching what is happening in michigan. there the problem is ... well .. i think scarier ... and the gov. there is fighting his own battle of recall ...
