Michael Phelps Beats Ryan Lochte, Wins Gold for 200 IM!
Michael Phelps shows off his gold medal, his 20th career Olympic medal, after the Men’s 200m Individual Medley final at the 2012 Summer Olympicsheld at the Aquatics Centre on Thursday (August 2) in London, England.
The 27-year-old swimmer timed in at 1:54.27, just 0.63 faster than his competitor Ryan Lochte, who was awarded the silver medal.
Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh took home the bronze medal, with a final time of 1:56.22.
Earlier in the day, USA swimmer Tyler Clary won the gold for 200 back, beatingRyan, who took home the bronze in that event.
