2110: Amazing. I mean, I can't believe the President of the United States made Michael Phelps - the greatest Olympian of all time - hold on the telephone. Does he not know who Phelps is? Right, in the second Men's 100m Butterfly Semi, the winner is South Africa's Chad le Clos and USA's Tyler McGillfinishes second. That Final is at about 7.39pm London Time on Friday.
USA's Michael Phelps:
"I'm tired! Yeah, the triple was cool. I knew Ryan would be tough and I'm pretty pleased with that. Winning gold is pretty cool. The President called me yesterday and that was cool too. They called me and then asked me to hold for the President of the United States. He said how everyone's supporting me and then he tweeted me after!"
2105: USA's Michael Phelps hammers the second 50 meters and wins his heat at a canter. I'm telling you: he cannot be a human being.
2103: New race, same guy... Michael Phelps wins gold, collects medal, goes back into changing room, comes straight back out for Semi in the Men's 100m Butterfly. What a hero.

"The knives were out in the fencing. Can I say that? Ok, the swords were out in the Women’s Team Foil and Italy have taken gold, beating Russia 45-31. That makes it:
Gold: Italy
Silver: Russia
Bronze: South Korea."
2057: For the SIXTEENTH time, the national anthem of the United States of America, 'The Star-Spangled Banner', is played at an Olympic Games in honor of the great Michael Phelps. Now I'm just guessing, but I presume that doesn't ever get boring.
