ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- The Pakistani military on Tuesday said it has successfully test fired another short-range ballistic missile which is capable of carrying nuclear warheads. It comes just a week after Pakistan test-fired a surface-to-surface missile. i like cruise missile technology.. but if we want to keep up with the opposition, we need to develop ICBM...

A regional nuclear arms race is much more dangerous than a US Soviet one.  In the latter case, they were half a world apart and had at about 30 minutes to make up their mind whether something that appeared on their screens was a glitch or a real attack.  For India and Pakistan, there is virtually zero time.  The incentive for either side to launch immediately rather than validate an actual attack is underway during a crisis is much stronger.
